Our Mission
We provide a safe and controlled environment to learn and practice the limits of you and your car's ability. Certified instructors are available and willing to help you, at all levels of driving skill, from first timers on up.
Club Profile
STBR is a region of the Sports Car Club of America. The South Texas Border Region is one of seven regions in the Southwest Division of SCCA which is all of Texas and part of Louisiana and Oklahoma. The STBR was formed in 1953 and our area is South Texas below San Antonio.
Below is SCCA's description of autocross or solo as it is called. SCCA Solo events, often set up in parking lots or any place with a large expanse of pavement, are all about a driver's ability to accurately and precisely maneuver around a pylon-marked course in the fastest time possible.
If you think you have what it takes to beat the clock and your fellow drivers, then show up an SCCA Solo event. Prove that you're as good as your car looks, that you have what it takes to go fast. Don't think your car is up to it? Show up anyway. Chances are someone will show you the ropes riding with them.
Club Meetings
The club has formal and informal meetings that will be listed on this site to discuss club business or talk about cars and having fun in cars.
